Our Meal Plans

Hoppin Meal Plans offers three different plans that can be ordered on a weekly or subscription basis.  Here’s a little bit about the kinds of meal you’ll find on each.

Whole30.  The Whole30 is a popular elimination diet.  It’s not about weight loss or quick fixes, it’s about learning how your body reacts to different foods by temporarily removing items such as grains, dairy, and sugar.  My husband and I did it in the summer of 2018, and it really opened our eyes to how we were affected by even the healthy foods we were eat.  The Whole30 seems overwhelming, but it’s easy with some planning.  These recipes comply with the Whole30 guidelines to help you get through your 30 days (and reintroduction). 

Light and Balanced.  Inspired by my lifelong Weight Watchers membership, light and balanced includes meals that are focused on having a healthy, balanced diet.  You’ll find lots of lean proteins, fresh produce, and most important: taste!  However, unlike Whole30, there’s nothing restricted, so you’ll find foods like cheese and bread pop up occasionally.  Although I can’t publish actual points, for WW members, all meals are 10 points or less.

Quick and Easy.  Who has time to cook?  Well, I usually do, but not even I want to spend hours in the kitchen every night!  Quick and Easy meal plans include lots of recipes that take little time to prepare.   Meals are of two types: a few minutes of prep and letting your crock pot and oven do the rest (time to make friends with your crock pot and sheet pans) or require an active cooking time of 30 minutes or less.

Why these three plans?

Why are these the only plans available?  It’s not that I have no love for people that are Keto, Paleo, Low-Carb, No-Carb, Pescatarian, Vegetarian, Vegan, and any of the other diets and lifestyles out there, it’s that these are the types of meals that I know best, because I’ve lived them.  But that doesn’t mean I can’t learn to live and love them.  I’m in the process of developing new plans, and updating and creating recipes.  Is there a type of meal plan you’d like to see?  Let me know!
